Accommodation Details
With the Presidents exciting announcement last week that we are now in level 1, we are planning on changing things up a bit... for the better we think!
We are consolidating Wolfkop Weekender: Islands on the River into one weekend (8 - 12 October), with a limit of 500 guests and crew on site. Grootfontein will once again be the main festival site, where DJs will play in one area. We have designed some very cool social distancing pods for this space! We have opened up all different ticket options, if you previously purchased a ticket it stands as is. And there will now be free movement between the campsites; with camping in Berry Field and Golden Valley... like old times, just with a bit more space.
The gates will open on Thursday night, the first DJ starts at 4pm on Friday, and the last DJ finishes at 4pm on Sunday, and you are welcome to stay with us right through to Monday! We will have food vendors and a bar, so no need to worry about bringing everything along with you.
Health and Safety
As is standard in day-to-day life, we will rely on the sensibilities of our guests and crew first and foremost to exercise sensible social etiquette throughout the weekend in par with government regulations. Movement between farms and camping areas is now allowed, but we ask that people please be responsible and take the necessary precautions throughout the weekend.
A safety officer specialising in covid-protocol is in place to guide us and will be on site to ensure that we abide by health and safety regulations in the build up to and during the Weekender. At the bathrooms all regulations and protocols will be in place, including regular sanitising of the ablutions and use of face masks, as well as ample hand sanitisers around the site. Again, it is mostly up to ourselves to make sure that we all stay safe.
T's & C's beyond the usual
The accommodation tickets for these weekends are refundable subject to the campout not being allowed to go ahead. We will continue to abide by the government's social distancing rules, if we are unable to use the dates we have booked here we will continue to move the Weekenders back until it is safe and legal to do so. You may hold your accommodation tickets until the campout is allowed, or take a full refund minus the booking fees and transactional costs. If we go ahead the usual T's & C's apply. People who purchase accommodation tickets will be kept in the loop with all information as things progress. We will not be promoting these Weekenders through the usual social media channels, so if you are reading this email it is because you are subscribed to the Wolfkop Weekender mailing list, please feel free to share amongst your friends and network.
